About Attorney Andrew Bishop

Andrew S. Bishop is a highly accomplished attorney, military veteran, and retired U.S. Army Judge Advocate General (JAG) with over 19 years of legal experience, specializing in civilian criminal defense and military court-martial defense. During 16+ years of distinguished service in the U.S. Army JAG Corps, Andrew honed his Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) and criminal defense expertise. He has successfully represented clients in cases ranging from Driving Under the Influence (DUI), fraud, and assault to sexual assault, involuntary manslaughter, and more. Andrew also brings extensive experience in military administrative proceedings, including adverse administrative separation boards and flying evaluation boards. Andrew earned his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in International Studies from Dickinson College. Following a deployment as a Company Commander in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF), he pursued his Juris Doctor (J.D.) and Master of Public and International Affairs (M.P.I.A.) degrees at the University of Pittsburgh. He then completed the prestigious Presidential Management Fellowship (PMF), a two-year leadership program, while serving with the Social Security Administration’s Philadelphia Regional Office.

As a dedicated educator, Andrew taught International Criminal Law and War Crimes Tribunals for five years as an elective course at the U.S. Army War College, Department of Distance Learning. His post-J.D. academic credentials include a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Military Law from the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School in Charlottesville, Virginia. Andrew is pursuing a second LL.M. in Healthcare Regulatory and Criminal Law at Drexel University’s Thomas R. Kline School of Law, with an expected graduation in June 2025. His advanced studies focus on fraud and abuse cases, including the Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, Medicare and Medicaid fraud, cybersecurity, and data privacy.
